There are a handful of ATMs in the Galapagos, and they are limited to two towns. There are one or two in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island, and one in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristóbal Island. However, we recommend that travelers don’t rely on the ATMs as there is a chance the machines will be out of order, or they won’t have cash when you need it. So, bring enough cash to pay for your Park Entrance Fee, tip your guide and crew, and pay for personal expenses (such as alcoholic beverages and/or snorkel equipment rental). You can also use credit cards in many shops and in some restaurants.
