WHY THIS TRIP
The Evolution Galápagos cruise is a stunning vessel, ideal for travelers who want luxury and stability, but not the crowds of a 100-passenger ship. With its longer itineraries, variety of activities, attentive crew, and stylish accommodations, this Evolution stands out as a reputable and deluxe expedition cruise.
TRIP DESCRIPTION
Designed for Galápagos Island cruising, the 32-passenger Evolution yacht provides comfort, professional guides, and personalization for your Galápagos journey. The Evolution is known for elegant design, both in terms of the boat’s aesthetics and itinerary arrangements.
Onboard, there are a variety of cabin choices available, from standard to deluxe staterooms. Each cabin features double or twin beds (no bunk beds); closets; personal safe; private bathroom; hot water; window; and climate control. The more luxurious staterooms also feature picture windows and are even more spacious. The communal areas include indoor dining room; a lounge perfect for guide lectures; outdoor jacuzzi; ample deck space for lounging; bar; al fresco dining area; and outdoor lounge.
The Evolution’s cruising itinerary was designed to maximize your time exploring the National Park and minimize transportation time. For that reason, only 8- and 15-day itineraries are offered so you can visit the most remote (and more wildlife-dense) Islands in the Galapagos and forgo time-consuming stops to swap out passengers mid-week. You’ll also find the Evolution’s itineraries are a bit unique than most: combining Fernandina and Española Islands in one week, while the other itinerary combines Genovesa and North Seymour with some of the best snorkeling in the Central Islands. Those who really wish to see it all should opt for the 15-day, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink cruise that follows both itineraries.
Each day you’ll be discovering the Islands, both on land and underwater, with your naturalist guide certified by the Galápagos National Park. You’ll embark on naturalist walks at least twice a day, stopping often for photo opps and interpretation from your guide. Snorkeling is also a huge highlight of any Galápagos tour; along with your guide, you’re likely to spot green sea turtles, marine iguanas, penguins, Galápagos sharks, rays, and/or tropical fish. For those wanting even more activity, there are also opportunities to kayak and go on panga rides to observe life on the rocky shores that’s otherwise inaccessible.
The Evolution provides a personalized, unique, and altogether luxurious expedition cruise for those who don’t want to sacrifice a thing when visiting the Galapagos Islands.
