DAY 1: Arrive Cusco, Transfer to your hotel to rest and acclimatize to the altitude (Hotel Monasterio or similar in Cusco).
Meals Included: None
DAY 2: Half day tour of Cusco, visiting the Cathedral, the Koricancha and the ruins of Sacsayhuaman (Hotel Monasterio or similar in Cusco).
Meals Included: Breakfast
DAY 3: Visit Pisac for it's famous textile market and then its ruins, then travel to Ollantatambo to explore the ruins high above the village (Rio Sagrado Lodge or similar in Ollantaytambo).

DAY 4: Inca Trail: Start the trek at KM 82, hiking along the Urubamba River, then set off up the Kusichaca River to our first camp site in Huayllabamba (around 3,000 m / 9,842 ft)

DAY 5: Inca Trail: Walk to the Warmihuañusca pass (4,200 m / 13,860 ft approximately) down to Runkurakay ruins to camp at Pacaymayo (3600 mts. – 11181 ft.).

DAY 6: Inca Trail: Hike to the circular ruins at Runkurakay then climb the steps to Sayacmarca ruins (3620 mts – 11946 ft approximately) and on to Phuyupatamarca ruins (3650 mts – 12045 ft approximately), where we camp.

DAY 7: Inca Trail: Hike down to WiñayWayna ruins (2650 mts – 8745 ft approximately) then on towards IntiPunku (2740 mts – 9042 ft approximately), the Gate of the Sun, the entry to Machu Picchu. Take photos and head to our hotel for a great night's sleep (Hotel Inkaterra Machu Picchu or similar in Machu Picchu Pueblo).

DAY 8: Machu Picchu! You will visit the Intihuatana, the temple of the 3 windows, the temple of the moon, the terraces, the ceremonial fountains, the sun gate and other sectors of the impressive citadel. In the afternoon, return to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel (Hotel Monasterio or similar in Cusco).

DAY 9: Enjoy free time exploring Cusco before heading to the airport to depart for home or you next adventure.
