We combined the cruise on the Treasure Catamaran with the Southern Peru Highlights trip.
Everything was well planned. It was the easiest vacation from that aspect. Unfortunately “things happen” to even the best laid plans. There was a farmers strike on Peru that impacted the rail system. Our rail trip from Lake Titicaca was cancelled ? as a result (On the wday before it was scheduled.) We were informed by the local travel agency of the cancellation. We had no doubt that they would get us to Cusco. They ended up flying us there.
What moment or experience do you think you will remember most one year from now? One morning while on our catamaran in the Galapagos, I was awakened by the sound of repeated splashing. I went out on our balcony and was at least 50 pelicans diving for fish. It was simply amazing.
